SaaS capital raise – Series A model & pack

Caplitica designed and built a comprehensive model and investor pack for a high-growth SaaS company preparing for a Series A raise. The tools enabled scenario testing, aligned stakeholders, and facilitated the successful closure of a $6m round.

I.

Context

A high-growth SaaS company was preparing for a $6m Series A funding round and required a robust financial model to project revenue, expenses, and cash flows under various scenarios. The company needed clear outputs to communicate its growth potential and address investor concerns around churn, scalability, and revenue diversification. Existing models were too simplistic and lacked the flexibility to accommodate rapid changes based on investor feedback.

II.

What we delivered

  • Built a bespoke financial model projecting revenue, expenses, and cash flows over multiple scenarios, including base case, aggressive growth, and downside protection.
  • Created an investor pack featuring clean visual outputs, charts, and executive summaries to communicate growth potential effectively.
  • Structured the model to allow dynamic adjustments based on investor feedback, ensuring alignment throughout the fundraising process.
  • Incorporated churn analysis, CAC to LTV ratios, and ARR growth projections to provide a clear path to profitability.
  • Ran sensitivity analysis to stress-test revenue models across different pricing structures and market penetration rates.
  • Produced board-ready presentation materials to support investor roadshows and follow-up meetings.

Outcome / impact

Successfully closed the $6m Series A funding round. The model became a foundational tool for aligning stakeholders, validating growth assumptions, and setting the stage for future funding rounds.
